Originally from Watford, Anne-Marie trained at Stella Mann College of Performing Arts on a full scholarship graduating with a Level 6 Trinity National Diploma in Musical Theatre, Advanced 2 ISTD Qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern, and Advanced 2 RAD Ballet. Following graduation Anne-Marie proceeded to have a successful career for over 12 years as a Professional Dancer, Singer and Dance Captain working all around the world in many amazing theatres, venues and stages before residing in Hull, achieving her PGCE. In 2019 Anne-Marie took over as course leader for the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre and BA (Hons) Dance Degree at Hull Higher Education. During her time as Course Leader, Anne-Marie wrote the Foundation Degree in Musical Theatre, Foundation Degree in Dance and BA (Hons) Performance Top-Up Degree Validated by the University of Hull. Anne-Marie is a Certified Progressing Ballet Technique Teacher, Acrotrix Teacher and regularly performs as ‘Agnetha’ for pop duo act “Abba Vinyl”. Anne-Marie works as a freelance teacher and choreographer in her City, choreographing for Competitions, festivals, Troupe Days and big stage performances like CYD Superconvention. Anne-Marie uses her time in class to encourage technical embodiment, choreography and performance whilst endeavouring to identify potential in all students and work on progression and technique through demonstration, guidance and fun. Anne-Marie is Director of LaVolta Dance Events Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire alongside Hollie & Mel, delivering Workshops, Festivals, Troupe Days and Championships within Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire Area.
